Bread for the World – a national program to help keep the plight of starving people all over the world in the awareness/minds of all Christians, encouraging them to write, call or email their congress and senate representatives to encourage them to create and vote for laws protecting U.S. farmers and the poor.  Contact Bill Vincent 704-599-9379 or Lisa McKinnon at 704-490-8464.

CVAN Christmas Child – Shoe Box Project for holidays.  Contact Barbara Linker at 704-788-8354.

Family Literacy Program – A program designed to encourage children and parents to read during the summer months, targeting especially the children at AT Allen.  There is also an EASL program connected to this program to help Hispanic/Latin speaking parents and grandparents to learn English.  Volunteers cook for the dinner served each week, serve, help with the literacy program and  teach the EASL program.  Contact Lisa McKinnon 704-490-8464.

Fellowship Club – makes quilts for Hospice.  You do not need to be a quilter to join this group.  Contact Irene Green at 704-788-2365.

Habitat for Humanity – coordinates volunteers from Mt Hermon and the community to help build houses in the surrounding area.  Volunteers needed to help in every aspect of building a home.  Contact Jay Perkins at 704-788-4484.

Men For Change – financial support for  CVAN-center for abused women and children.

Saint Gatherer's (Evangelism) Team – works on projects and events to involve and familiarize the surrounding community with the church.  This team is also called the Evangelism team and helps coordinate the Holiday parade float, Banana Split Event.  Volunteers help plan and implement events.  Contact Beth Coleman at 704-960-4271.
