Letter from the Pastor
Welcome
to Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church! For over 125 years, Mt. Hermon
has been a community of faith, worship, and service in the
name of Jesus Christ. As a guest, joining us for worship,
we invite you to participate in every area of our congregational
life, as you feel comfortable. Whether this is your first
time here at Mt. Hermon or your first visit to any church,
you are welcome here. Feel free to explore our ministries
and your faith at your own peace. All programs, classes,
and groups are open to you. If you are a parent, feel free
to bring your children to any of our youth or children's
programs. You are encouraged to ask questions about your
faith or ours, and we hope you will feel safe to grow in
your spirituality and the blessings of our Lord. We are
a congregation of the North Carolina Synod of the Evangelical
Lutheran Church in America (ELCA),
and a covenant church of Bread for the World. These affiliations
signify our commitment to worshipping God and helping people
in need; as well as our commitment to be a place where everyone
feels loved and welcome.
Once again, welcome to Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church.
