“Thanks to those who Labor”

Our Labor, whatever it is, is a gift we offer God’s world, and a gift from God to us! All good, beneficial work is holy. Jesus reminds us in this text how important it is to pick your place when with a group of people. It’s best to humble ourselves and put others before us, just like all those men and women who work these humble jobs. Today we give thanks for all those people who complete these jobs the rest of us would struggle.

Our Mission

The mission of Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church is to inspire God's community.  We are an outreach congregation who prays, worships and works together; to put into action God's Mission in the world.  The history of Mt. Hermon illuminates a rich tapestry of colorful characters and extraordinary events, and was formally organized in 1881.  See how our past leads to God's plan for Mt. Hermon's future.

Lutheran Faith

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) is one of the largest Christian denominations in the United States, with about 4 million members in nearly 10,000 congregations.  We are a church that is deeply rooted in Scripture, Lutheran theology, and faith in the good news of Jesus Christ.  All are welcome regardless of age, race, gender, life experience, complexities and questions.

Worship With Us

God desires a close relationship with each of us. Come as you are and join us in prayer, celebration, and communion with God's Holy Spirit.

We offer a Traditional service at 9 a.m. in the Sanctuary and a Contemporary service at 10:55 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Consider joining us for Monday Night Bible study as well. We are a church that shares a living, daring confidence in God's grace.
